Rob and Alissa Smith Family
My wife and I were born and raised in rural Logan County, IL. Home is truly how this feels, as we are continuing our families’ traditions of farming, raising livestock, and community involvement as both our grandparents and parents did in this same community. This stems from our strong faith, work ethic, and passion for agriculture that has been instilled in us. We want to continue this same path with our two children, Landon and Olivia. Our family greatly enjoys livestock; it’s not only a business, but also a family experience as we attend shows across the United States. Throughout the year, we maintain active roles and support our local church, 4-H Club, school, and other various organizations and clubs. Our hobbies include: youth sports, hunting, golf, gardening, and hosting our annual communal barn gathering.

Dave and Linda Smith Family
Our family has been raised in the Christian faith, and that is how we try to live our lives. In this ever-changing world, family time is of utmost importance to us. Prioritizing our family’s needs and honoring commitments takes balance, and we feel we do this well. We are active with our church from youth education, building and grounds committee to donating our time and money to various church philanthropies. Our hobbies include youth baseball, boating, water and snow skiing, hunting, trap shooting and golf. We also enjoy donating to our local chapter of FFA, being Gold Level Sponsors of the Logan County Fair, and supporting the SIU Alpha Gamma Rho Chapter and the SIU School of Agriculture as well as the Sigma Kappa Chapter and School of Education at EIU.
